You're on the list. We'll email you when we launch.

Indie music exists because someone believed you didn't need a major label.

This is the same idea, applied to your digital life. Use Google for search. Use Apple for your phone. Use Microsoft for work. But your personal data — your email, your photos, your calendar, your contacts — that can live somewhere that actually belongs to you.

myindie.cloud is your own cloud — one that uses open standards, doesn't mine your data, and lets you walk away whenever you want.

Built on Nextcloud — open source software trusted by governments and universities worldwide. Hosted on dedicated hardware in Europe. Independent. Not venture-funded. Not answering to shareholders.

Compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles and GDPR. We don't sell, share, or monetise your data. Our privacy policy is written in plain English.

A complete personal cloud.
For the price of a coffee.

Let's talk about encryption.

We use strong, standard encryption — TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest. Your connection is secure. Your files are encrypted on disk.

But we don't do end-to-end encryption for email and files. Here's why: E2E means the server can never touch your data. That kills search across your emails and AI features on your documents — things we want to offer you down the road.

If you need military-grade privacy, Proton is excellent and we genuinely recommend them. But if you want a personal cloud that's yours, portable, and stays useful — that's us.

Exception: your passwords ARE end-to-end encrypted. We literally cannot see them.

You're probably wondering.

What do I get for $3/month?
Email (your own address), file sync and sharing, photo backup, calendar, contacts, and an encrypted password manager. All on your own cloud instance, accessible from any device.
Can I actually leave?
Yes. That's the whole point. Everything uses open standards (IMAP, CalDAV, CardDAV, WebDAV). Export your data in standard formats with one click. You can even migrate to your own Nextcloud server — we'll help you do it.
What about Android calendar/contacts?
iOS syncs natively. Android needs the DAVx5 app for calendar and contacts sync — we cover the $3 cost for you. Setup takes about 5 minutes and we'll walk you through it.
Who's behind this?
An independent operation. No VC funding. No investors demanding growth at all costs. No shareholders to please. Built on Nextcloud (open source, trusted by the French government, German education sector, and thousands of organisations worldwide). Compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles and GDPR. Just a sustainable service that charges a fair price and doesn't sell your data. Like an indie label for your cloud.
